Artist Statement
Memory is fallible, we compensate by collecting things that trigger memories. The line between hoarding & collecting is blurred with digital media. What is the visual equivalent of hoarding? What does it look like when we want to remember everything we see? What do we forget anyway? What gaps appear in our collections/hoards and our memories? The Automated Digital Photo Collage generates composite images, amassing selections from whatever changes in its view, virtually and visually hoarding.
