Purple ties, red ties, paisley ties. . . every talking head on TV has their hair coiffed, their ties on but no angle works when it comes to a disaster of these proportions. Nature trumps media and yet for those still connected to the grid - it’s not the candlelight that tells the story — it’s this wash of imagery pumped in our faces which we cannot get enough of.
