Artist Statement
Why Japan?
"Because Japan is the global imagination's default setting for the future" --William Gibson
The "Augmented" installation is a manifestation of my ongoing interest in the influence that technology and the internet has on our lives, while also speaking directly to the tragedy of the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster.
