Synopsis: 'Walking Portraits..' is an experimental audiovisual work of a GPS documented walking performance across five London railway and tube stations' areas. It explores Marc Auge's concept of non-places [transit places] by using the walking as a creative method within the urban setting. Bill Psarras follows any sign, color and street texture around these areas, collecting real-time audiovisual data by making a psychogeographical walking process in order to approach the meanings of transition and urban ambiance of these places. Inspired by Walter Benjamin's quote 'botanizing on the asphalt', the asphalt and different colored pavements become the source of inspiration as little urban topographies are revealed in the porous surface of them.

[2]The overall walking distance of it reached the 20.5Km and the stations are London Bridge Station, King's Cross Saint Pancras Station, Canary Wharf Station, Waterloo Station and Paddington Station.
