Full Description

Farbod Morshedzadeh was born in Iran in 1974. In 2000, he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Tehran’s Azad University, known at the time to be the centre for avant-garde painters and scholars, and whilst there had the opportunity to collaborate with such renowned artists as Nosratollah Moslemian and Bobak Etminani. Later in 2004, Farbod went to India to pursue his studies in gender and sexual identity under the direct supervision of the internationally-acclaimed writer and activist R. Raj Rao.

Farbod currently resides in Iran, where he lectures at Tehran’s Azad University, and is regarded as one of the country’s leading contemporary figurative painters.
