Simple #8 (Bearded Olympia) is part of a body of work, titled Simple, that investigates our shared experiences through images and memory. Simple is about nothing and everything important. The work is not a definition of who we are as a collective society, however Simple discusses parts of some, together. Simple #8 (Bearded Olympia) is a suggested solution to global antagonism. Instead of the violence that usually accompanies conflicts, Simple #8 (Bearded Olympia) proposes an alternative: Bearded Body-Building Competitions. Beards and muscles are associated with masculinity, and these physical characteristics should be the deciding factor to our current conflicts
