These neo-constructivist installations were created intrinsically to produce sound. Electric motors driving pulleys or manual cranking gear-type drives result in moving components making sound. Audio is recorded and processed using Cycling 74 and Steinberg programs. The audio may be heard directly through headphones or surround sound configuration. Audio processing may be influenced by light, color, motion and proximity sensors.
