the performative act of painting is embraced in the manner of exhibition. a projection unit fueled by portable power allows for flexibility in presentation and duration. things i’d like to paint an ongoing investigation into painting’s relationship to time-based visuals. the outcome spans a variety of mediums including paintings, video, photographs, and installations 2007-2008.
Full Description
poured paint is captured on camera, and digitized into motion video. the resulting clips are edited into a broad palette. the time based marks are then transformed into a variety of kinetic 'drip paintings'. the resulting video paintings are projected onto a variety of pre-investigated public canvasses.
