Full Description

Sister Unn's is a storefront in Forest Hills, Queens rented for a period of six months and converted into an abandoned flower shop. It remained closed for the entirety of this rental period, viewable only from the outside. The Sister Unn's website gifts unique visitors with single roses in varying colors, assigned according to country code, that are then placed in a continually growing online rose gallery. A 'Dedications' page pays tribute to two of the key influences behind this project -- Rego Park's 'Royal Gardens Florist' (1978 - 2010) and the novel 'Is-Slottet' by Tarjei Vesaas.
