Pascal's Room (2011)

This video, like many videos I've made before it, was initially created by editing/damaging the information within the compressed video file - without damaging the container section. This allows broken files to still be played within quicktime/VLC - often with surprising results. After this initial manipulation I then (mis)use a high end motion graphics software designed for time re-mapping as a morphing software. As the broken files go through multiple iterations of "destructive morphing" the ratio between the original image and a sort of generated morphological abstraction shifts.
