The series Seascapes: After Sugimoto involves photographing oceans in various virtual environments, such as Second Life, with a large format camera. The digital seascape is displayed on a large plasma or lcd TV screen and then a two to seven second exposure takes place capturing the image onto the film. After this, the photograph is taken through the developing process where the element of water itself and other liquids are used to achieve the final product. It is through this process that the physical and metaphorical properties of water are challenged and the digital water forms an interrelationship with its natural state.
