"Whirlwind" is a digital interpretation of a series of etchings I created during the Gulf Oil Spill of 2010. The images on paper needed the scale and movement to convey the turmoil inherent in the topic. The 5 x 15 tile display at TACC brought them to life. "Whirlwind" is part of an exhibition at the Texas Advanced Computing Center, ACES Visualization Lab, University of Texas at Austin, April 2011.
