'6 Short Films' are six recordings of a laptop's shifting, colorfield screen-glow as it is cast against a wall, recorded via the internal camera eye of the laptop as it plays video recordings of art openings uploaded to Youtube by the user ballenato63.

Artist Statement

These '6 Short Films' attempt to visualize the a/effect of socially-networked architectures of video production, dissemination, and reception as they relate to art history, the space of 'personal' viewing, conceptually-driven practice, and a love of color field, relaxed 'post-mediumicity', obliqueness, and the shadows, afterglows and afterimages of events and discourses. For display in any context.
