My foray into modular work was inspired by the ease of digital manipulation; the prototype of these works was a photo of a painting that I manipulated into kaleidoscopic repetition for "wallpaper" to use on Twitter. Because of the intricate and interchangeable nature of the composition, and the technical problems involved in tossing around large work in fragile media, I found video slideshows the best method of describing the concept, with, naturally, the aim of having the physical work installed on walls. Thus, the process may be said to vacillate between digital and traditional media.
