Forêt papier is a French term that describes artificial forests created in the purpose of transforming wood into paper. In the southwest of France you can find the biggest pine forest of Europe, called Les Landes. Despite that the forest is beautiful, perfect for walking and for nature lovers, it was man made during the 19th century. The video is based on the idea of this thin boundary between realism and fiction, between the description of a landscape as well as a fairytale. Some ghosts are haunting a forest, a setting for ones repressed childish fantasies.
Collaboration with French Artist Aurélie Cenno.
