Searching the Internet, I came across a website where people posted their sexual fantasies. Most fantasies were of a very naive and innocent kind. The posting on the Internet felt like a form of intellectual exhibitionism to me. As funny as I found them at first, as serious and intimate I began treating them later. In reading those stories, the less spectacular so-called ‘normal’ fantasies, I felt all the more embarrassed by the feeling of trespassing intimacy. The intimacy of the others, as well as my own. The following seven pictures are photograpic registrations of small performances I did in semi-public spaces, trying to impersonate those anonymous writers. www.alexandraverhaest.be
