FACADE 2010 (2010)

Façade is a playful, projection-based intervention on Fed Square’s East Shard. You are given the chance to “paint” this prominent building using a series of block patterns and a near-infinite array of colours through a simple interface at the Façade website. Your design, along with hundreds of others, will then be projected nightly at the East Shard, while a web cam will allow you to see the results online. Greg Giannis is a Melbourne-based artist that makes use of telecommunications systems to engage the public in playful interventions.

This is part of the annual Festival of Lights at Federation Square, Melbourne, Australia, 11 June - 4 July
