This work has to do with symbols I see both in popular technology and the human experience.
As an artist I feel that I am just now being born. I feel new. I feel full of ideas but I also have a sense of fading away. I feel eternal and still I have a sense of urgency.

media: photograph (light captured on a CCD chip with white LED lamps), digitally manipulated using various software algorithms.
This work has to do with symbols I see both in popular technology and the human experience.
As an artist I feel that I am just now being born. I feel new. I feel full of ideas but I also have a sense of fading away. I feel eternal and still I have a sense of urgency.
I have always been an artist and a technologist. As a child in the 1960's I experimented with new forms of art. I built artworks out of broken television parts, tape recorders, spray paint, oil and water. I thought I was the only artist to ever do this kind of thing but of course many artists even before the 60's have combined various technologies to create art.
My works have often included not only visuals but sound and writings.
In the 1970's I studied in several art museums, galleries, universities, wherever I could find something intriguing.
In the 1980's I began writing software algorithms to create art somewhat of a random nature.
In the years past 2000 I have shown my work in two international shows and in the last few years have begun to rethink "why art".
