The work of David Spriggs lies in a space between the 2 and 3 dimensions. Combining mixed media techniques of painting, drawing,sculpture,and digital 3D technologies. His installations use multiple layered images in space to create unique ephemeral like forms. Spriggs explores the representation and strategies of power, the notions of movement, and the thresholds of form and perception. Unlike in cinema - where the images move and the body stays static - the multiple images in his work force the viewer to move around the work to comprehend this interplay of dimensions.
