The artist uses a combination of photographic artwork as well as graphic illustrations to exemplify the theme of sexuality through his shaping technique. The works of Alberto Seveso is an eye catching and beautiful imagery of the concept of sexuality. The artist uses a combination of photographic artwork as well as graphic illustrations to exemplify the theme of sexuality through his shaping technique. The programs being used within these works were Photoshop and Illustrator. The shaping method used in his artwork silhouettes the female body strikingly. This artwork technique is called “sperm shaping”, which started from a series called “A Me Mi Piace La Gnocca” roughly translated, as “I like the pussy”. Sperm shaping basically derives from a form of vector that is similar to the shape of the sperm. This can be seen in the images when looked up closer, but from first appearance, that was not visible. This exhibition expands on the theme of sexuality. The artist uses photographs of women and shapes these photos with illustrations of the sperm-shapes throughout the entire body/skin. Alberto’s artworks definitely strike me as being very appealing and interesting. The shapes on the body definitely stick out from the rest of the image because of the simplicity of the photograph itself. I originally did not choose a theme to focus on first. Instead I wanted to search for fine artworks that dealt with photography or/and graphic arts to focus on. Then I came across Alberto’s work and felt like all of this artwork was linked to one theme, sexuality through the female body.
