Video Surveillance Piece: Public Room, Private Room (2010)

Bruce Nauman has been known for a lot a contemporary art pieces including video art, photography, and sculpture. Much of his art pieces are known for being bold statements about how he feels on certain subjects. He was born December 6, 1941 and studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and at the University of California.

This first piece of surveillance art work has two different ways of using cameras and their angles. There are two different rooms having do with with this art work. The first room has a television placed in the corner of the room that displays a room being viewed by a surveillance camera. On another screen, displaced on the television you can see yourself being shown from the surveillance camera. What we see here is surveillance art that offers to confuse the viewer.
