Myself & I (2009)

WEBCAM REQUIRED FOR THIS PIECE.

This piece consists of collected and edited quotes from personally formative works of literature and film from my past, Albert Camus's "The Fall" and "The Plague", E.L. Doctorow's "Ragtime", and "The Matrix". This text is placed over video feed of the viewers own face as they interact with the piece. Some themes I am interested in include the relation between artist and viewer, net and offline narcissism, as well as isolation.
