Naeem Mohaiemen presented excerpts from the project in progress that investigates failed 1970s revolutionary movements. This event was a 45 minute performance where Naeem presented his research tied to our present moment through personal anecdote and historical commentary. The event was followed by an hour-long Q&A session. The project was presented by Rhizome as part of New Museum's "New Silent" series. The first chapter of the performance was later expanded into a photography/text/video based project "Live True Life or Die Trying", which was shown in New York (Cue Art Foundation), Gijon (Laboral Center for Art & Technology), Zurich (Shedhalle) and Kolkata (Experimenter).
