This is one in a series of floral disks that I’ve made by manipulating a drawing that has already been made into a separate artwork. It is one I come back to and try to do something new with. I use a technique to smear the colors of the drawings and form them into an abstract flower piece. I’m often surprised by the results I get but they typically turn out quite beautiful. I have given each one a woman’s name. If you look at my artwork you will notice the one consistency is the lack of consistency. I try to make each piece different from all the others. With each piece I try something new and try to learn something in the process making each piece a process of self discovery.
