‘Visual Diary’ is Kavita’s first solo exhibition comprising paintings, drawings, video art and sculptures done in past few years, is about loosening chaos in mind by translating day to day life in the form of a diary. The body of work has certain specific reflections of events which have happened over the period of time that has left strong impressions on the artist. These embedded events have affected life consciously or subconsciously and has urged her to collectively document it with different visual media. The colours, forms, patterns, textures and treatment are symbolic representation of the feelings that she had during the process of experiencing ‘life’ as it came facing and went past by.

The artist, whose roots are from the hills of Kangra (Himachal Pradesh), grew academically as a painter with BFA degree in painting from College of Art, New Delhi and did her post graduation in animation films from National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad. The design institute opened doors for further possibilities of experimentation with various media, blending paintings with animation. This process gave birth to an artistic grammar that showcases an intense imagery of her mind traveling in a unique personified space.
