The theme for the work revolves around notions of patriotic emotion combined with the pragmatic notion of the "mouvance"; a term coined by poet Gérald LeBlanc to describe the particular relationship to geography that many Acadians experience.
The work uses traditional photography, digital photography, digital video and sound to create a piece that is be projected within an installation.
I am not interested in creating a narrative as such; I am inspired to make moving images or rather changing images. It is a non-linear process. Sound adds to the possible plateaux of exploration. In Gilles Deleuze’s dialectic of "Image/Time" and "Image/Movement", I am particularly drawn to the former as I work with images and editing.
