Generative audiovisual installation. Video patch extracts and compares words taken from three news websites (Italian, European and global). Structure created interacts in real-time with audio frequencies. Video patch sends back triggers to audio section generating audio-video interaction feedbacks. Keywords, extracted and decontextualized, are constantly remixed in the patch, obtaining new meanings or creating a kind of subliminal messages. Every time the patch is run, visual structure, camera movements or the news-of-the-day change, making the result in part unpredictable. Video patch is entirely programmed in VVVV. Audio is generated by Reaktor5. Video patch is based on Lindenmayer algorithm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L-system). Words are extracted in real-time by direct decoding of rss feeds from news websites then the text is decomposed and separated according to words frequency.
