The particular edge, that my performance art character Kiki Blood is riding in this work, is important in that it embodies all that I am to this point, beyond and including the artistic skills that I've gathered. As a female artist in the South, my work has begun to push the boundaries of very relevant "safety zones" in a conservative and even fearful society. Performance is the medium for this work. I use my body, my psychology, fashion, installation, mechanics, neurosis, pleasure, etc. The limitless palette brings to life multi-dimensional and non-dimensional creative evolution. It is from both the trained and untrained eye.
