condenced pop (2007)

This series is based on the warhol campbell soups tins that shot him to fame. When he printed them originally, it was as a statement of mass production. A lot of his themes including this one came about when he would ask people or strangers what he should paint, one answer was these soup tins. I wanted to revisit this concept, but literally fill the tins with more topical issues that reflect how our society has become saturated with techno/info/media related content, compressed/condensed to fit into our over visually and physically stimulated lives.
