A social networking experiment and performance, the Million Dollar Polaroid is a cross-media project that aims to achieve "meme-dom". Through using various social networking sites, such as MySpace, Youtube, Virb, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Metacafe and Facebook, the artist is attempting to reach people in hopes of generating an interactive event that will result in the sale of a found polaroid photograph. The project also makes use of many guerilla marketting tactics, including the distribution of print materials via mass-publications (inserting printed materials into commercial magazines and newsprints), viral video, spamming, and friend collecting.
