All of It (2006)

Hi.

I have been creating work since 1997, and have presented work to museums alongside jodi.org, IOD, Alexei Shulgin, and others. My work has been featured in the New York Times, Artforum, and have presented or exhibited in several museums and galleries internationally, including Russia, Korea, Canada, Belgium, and Spain. The Dutch Press has referred to me as "The Harry Potter of the Digital Avant Garde", the Italian Press has referred to me as an "emotional Andy Warhol", and the French press has called me "the Lars Von Trier of Net.Art."

Now, I would like to donate it to the artbase. All of it. I'd like some things in return, though: primarily, some way of making sure that I can pull the work from the artbase if rhizome ever falls into evil hands. I am giving it to you because I firmly believe that it is currently in the right hands.

I don't really suffer from any delusions that my work is of endless, bountiful value to rhizome. But I believe I have been established as a fairly accomplished artist of the net.art genre; my work would be valuable to rhizome as a historical artifact. I have actually been approached by other online net art collections for many aspects of my work, but have turned them down.

The works I would like to submit are:

6 ASCII Nudes

A Net.Art Portrait of Edie Sedgewick

Protest Pieces 1-5

Dancing Pixels

Flight 175 (aka "September 11th, 2001")

The entirety of anatomyofhope.net (as it exists today)

The Animacion Festivale

I would also like to submit the work I created for MTAA, "Auction Stand For Personal Hate."

All of which would join my earlier project, Absolut NetArt, in the rhizome artbase. All of these works have recieved some level of discussion and international attention, whether being exhibited, presented or written about.

Also, I like them.

Thanks!
