Informed by Portuguese writer Fernando Pessoa's poetic practice of the heteronym, a 17 day (March 20th-April 5th) experiment is conducted using the online social networks Blogger and Myspace. Esteban Rey and I create two online personas that make entries on their respective sites. Denny Teeman is a Blogger persona. Henry Wilder is a Myspace persona.
Denny's Blogger entries begin on March 20th, the first day of spring. All of the writings on his blogspot are his creation. However, the images he uses to illustrate his writings are not. He has appropriated them from the artist Sean Ripple without asking for permission or giving credit. Additional personas are created to provide commentary on Denny's writings and photos.
