This is a website and a database that plays bird sounds and recreate the sound and nature of a specific place. The bird sound follows some of the laws of nature and is also affected by the position of the sun. The composition is partly random. The singing comes from birds that are site specific and from birds that have been selected on esthetical grounds. Everything that happens are stored in a big database and you can see exactly what kind of bird was singing and when. This is an opera that will go on 24 hours a day and could be heard at the streets in Gothenburg (Sweden) during two weeks. It try’s to recreate the sound of nature at a specific place were the art piece is shown. You can hear the sound from loudspeakers on the streets and also online and inside the gallery.
