In this work, aLexandre Venera uses Rosane M. Martin's poem "Mantras" to create what he describes as a "search to absorb a declaration of internal peace for art energy, mixing different spaces...[into] one."
The work deals with issues of information explosion, media excess and political confusion and the soundtrack includes the contrasting "musical mantras" of Stockausen, Madonna and the Dalai Lama. "Mantrash" is also somewhat interactive, allowing the viewer, at the end of the piece, to manipulate the mandala.
