Sound Diary (2004)

by aRing

The Sound Diary Project is an evolving media arts project in an opened environment, which branched out from its sound arts root to encompass texts, installation arts, web, performance and many other new ideas. The Sound Diary audio CD was composed, performed, recorded, and mixed by aRing, and the tracks were installed into 6 different rooms in its premier exhibition together with 365 pages of handwritten texts. The Sound Diary album was first designed by aRing with a purpose to make a bridge between Popular Music and Contemporary Computer Music by accepting artistic conventions of both genres and to bring the art of music and the art of sound engineering together.
