Images From Code (2003)

I use computers to generate images from specific, unbiased instruction. I decide that a particular work is in fact, art. I produce very high-resolution prints so that the audience can make direct judgements against the artist's eye. Assuming that a computer will generate an aesthetic image will cause a digital work to fail. Computers are merely conduits for human expression; they are a means to an end, and not an end unto themselves.
