Apartment (2002)

a p a r t - m e n t is a reflection of my social position from within small and limited confines, summing up an identity within a single blueprint. By diagramming the apartment into virtual rooms there is no pretense of security and others may enter whenever they wish. It has resonance with a real apartment in that one is a voyeur in a stranger's dwelling, and cannot permanently alter the objects or mood of the rooms without contact with the resident. Within these rooms I explore the limitations of communication, sexuality, our brains, and a myriad of other issues related to living spaces in the pulsating rush of digital societal relations.
