Today, Rhizome's annual Community Campaign begins. This a tough year for the global economy and for the arts. As an organization, we are relying now more than ever on everyone who participates in, reads and cares about Rhizome and our mission of supporting new media and internet art to support us with a donation of $25 (or up). It's fast and simple and will help us tremendously as we strive to keep conversation, activity and attention towards this field active.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 by midnight December 31, 2008. This figure is truly vital to us and will go towards our commissions and editorial program as well to creating new points of community engagement on our website. Every single contribution, however small or large, will get us closer to this goal.
