Scholar and writer McKenzie Wark will ponder what it means to inherit legacies of the left, specifically that of Situationism, tonight at downtown space 16Beaver Group. Given the increased attention to 60s and 70s movements within the contemporary art world over these past few years, his question of "How to avoid the traps of orthodoxy (which can result into idolatry) or fetishism and the flights into irrelevance and impertinence?" is an ever important one.
