access port for file sharing service on Macintosh

Is there such a port that Macintosh uses to reach File sharing in Os9? If so what is it?

I was told that I have to find the port # for these services so I can forward to appropriate computer behind the router.
For example PCanywhere uses something like 5630~5631...

Otherwise Macintosh file sharing behind a router (outside of the LAN Appletalk area), any work arounds?

thanks,

Asked too soon and asked too many PC users. Frustration got me cring wolf in less 6hrs. Apple knowledge base proved usefull once again: afp uses 548.
