Cult CPA Performance This Saturday - The Point in The Bronx

DON'T MISS

THE CULT OF THE COR[PORAT]E [PER]FORM[ANCE] ARTISTS CLEAN [SING] RITUAL

We are producing a performance art piece about preparing for a spiritual
journey; about cleansing the body and mind to be receptive to meditation and
tranquility. In some of the specifics, we deal with personal reactions to the
rituals of childhood, adulthood, and dealing with tragedy, war and peace. We
attempt to cleanse ourselves of the emotional responses to these past events in
order to prepare ourselves for the future. Our ultimate goal is to inspire our
audience do this for themselves, without shamans or intermediaries.

I don't know yet the nature of the repression, like a child, I take my first
steps, and stand in awe of people who knew what to do and did it. However, the
dramatic statement now needs to be so large as to bring more than two buildings
down. Televized suicide is now a sport. What other way?

Best of luck, but this is simply not a possibility.
And if one understood what a shaman is, one wouldn't
be so egotistically knee-jerking against them.

A point that cannot be "proven".

And you will invite the audience to do as you do.

As if you're any manner of authority, or even in the capacity
to take responsibility what will happen to those humans
(o, but for which a shaman would).

Be "open" my dearest.

After all, there's always the opportunity to cleanse
onself from any and all seeds of consciousness.
It's not like there isn't anyone out there who'd
just *love* to take advantage of such "open" humans.

After all, consciousness : the most expensive energie.

It's so "cool" and "rebelious against authority" to play
with "cultism" and take advantage of and exploit potential
audience stupidity.

That would be part of the ritual of self-cleansing,
one assumes.

Crass con-men.

I admit that I don't understand what a shaman is on anything other than a
superficial level. I am trying to understand, but I assume it will take a long
time (if ever). There are plenty of faux shamans around who make claims that
should be examined critically, even by the asleep audience (and cast) members.

We will only invite the audience to critically examine claims of shamanism, and
to search for answers themselves.

We are consciously expressing that we ARE NOT shamans, and only ask the
audience to engage in searching for answers with us. I take responsibility for
initiating the search, not out of knowledge that I have, but do not have.

We seek only to engage them such that they are entertained and wish to attend
(and purchase tickets to) more performances. If we can stimulate them to pursue
issues further, we will be happy but will be sure not to provide answers that
we do not have.

Cult is not Religion, nor are we rebelling. We are seeking authority and not
providing it.

If one does not have someone to follow, one must do for themselves.

I am on occassion very crass, in the past I have hidden my lack of confidence
with a sales pitch that one could call a con, but I no longer lack confidence.

If you have any suggestions upon how to prevent us from damaging people, I
would greatly appreciate them.

I would not say that is a good course of action. Perhaps there are other
actions we can discuss.
