I dunno. You work and work to make things. You don't become celebrated but you might feel you're a
slightly bigger than small fish in a fairly small pond. You're pretty content on the whole. You get to do what you like doing most of the time and on occasions people say nice things about your work.
Then you get a respose from Warts-on-Hands, which puts everything into a new perspective.
You take a look at Fucking-Warts-on-Fucking-Hands' profile and it turns out what you read is what you get. Someone who has some propriety cure or something has taken the trouble to join Rhizome in order to hymn the virtues of their procedure/medication/whatever, here.
Of course what really stings is that, probably inadvertantly, the comment is actually rather waspishly funny.
