Open Call for Entries: Video/Animation/Digital Moving Image

The Fuse Factory Electronic and Digital Arts Lab invites video artists, animators, experimental filmmakers, and developers to submit innovative and exciting short works for our first annual fundraiser to take place at the Bar of Modern Art the evening of Friday, September 26, 2008. Works should be no longer than 10 minutes. All genres are welcome, although preference will be given to pieces that are experimental in nature.
The works will be projected within and around the main stage area during the fundraiser cocktail hour, which will be followed by performances by Queen Mae and the Bells, Anna and the Annadroids, and DOUBLE VISION. While sound will be included, it is strongly suggested that artists submitting work take the environment in which it will be shown into consideration.
There is no fee to submit, and multiple submissions (up to 3) are permitted. All submissions must include a completed entry form. Artists whose work is selected will receive two free tickets to attend the fundraiser.
Deadline for entries: Submissions must be postmarked on or before August 25th, 2008. Notification date: September 8th, 2008.
Rules and requirements:
* No age or residence requirements. The call is open to all artists
* Length: 10 minutes or less
* File format: .mov only please! Sorenson 3 compression or similar lossless compression strongly recommended
* Submission format: DVD
* Please include two stills of the work (.jpg or .png) for publicity purposes. No URLs
* Please include a SASE if you would like us to return your DVD
