1. Tiia Johannson Memorial
As many of you probably know,
Tiia Johannson from Estonia
died on 11 June 2002 in Tallinn/Estonia
only 36 years old.

Meanwhile, JavaMuseum converted the solo show
of the "JavaArtist of 2001"
which was organized in autumn 2001
to the Memorial for Tiia Johannson
in order to keep vivid the memory of the
very talented netartist.

All of you, who knew Tiia personally
or also "only" virtually
are invited to send some words of condolence or
a comment to her person or work
via email to
[email protected]
All appropriate mails will be published
as part of the Memorial.

It can be accessed via the startpage of www.javamuseum.org
or also directly via www.javamuseum.org/tiia_johannson/memorial.html

**2.Competition
"Fundamental Patterns- Peripheral Basics"
Deadline was 15 July 2002.
76 artists submitted 183 works.

The selection procedure will include this year no pre-selections,
but the artists to be participating in the show
will be selected during 5 weeks July/August in
a process by an independant continously changing jury
according the principle "join and leave"
and notified in the first week of September.

The result will go online as the show
"Fundamental Patterns- Peripheral Basics"
in the 1st week of October 2002.
It promises to be an exciting event again.
Simultaneously, the artist(s) receiving the
"JavaArtist(s) of the Year Award" will be notified.

Have a nice and sunny summertime.
