Geolocalizing NetArt events ?

Hi,
Im just wondering if there is any easy interface when you want to quickly dive in the real of the virtual ?
Im in Paris right now and Im wondering where are the NetArt events/performances/… active around me.
Does a GoogleMap (or any other visual online geolocalizing tool) modification exists to provide such information ?
I think it could be pretty useful.

If it existes my appologies Im new in this "field", just discovered the concept last Saturday and Im all excited since ;) Here is my idea anyway :

you get geolocalized based on information your interface to the net (your browser) provides. If nothing really relevant can be found you can enter the information manually with the help of automated tools (for typing the name of your country and city and then zooming and double clicking).
You appear in the center of a map and see appearing all around you the current events (at least started at the time of your connection). Events have special visualization effects in order to categorize the events (and reduce cognitive overload).
You can to move forward in time and choose the timespan (all the even that day or from that day to this day).

Think Id be pretty happy with such a tool :)
Of course it doesn't have to be limited to NetArt but I guess it could be a first start and open some interesting perspectives.

Fabien.

We have a "Live Stage" feature on both Networked_Performance (http://turbulence.org/blog/) and Networked_Music_Review (http://turbulence.org/networked_music_review/). Events are organized by time and place. I'm hoping to make the category searchable by country/city soon, but in the meantime you can browse the "Live Stage" category for performances, lectures, conferences, festivals, exhibition openings, etc.

Jo
