GENERAL DETAILS

ENGAGED is an arts magazine that challenges conventional ideas about
publishing. It aims to examine and promote other relevant forms of
publishing while remaining within the familiar and enjoyable realm of the
magazine format. Each issue of the magazine is published in a different
medium.

"Art on a sleeve" The Observer Review 2/95
Issue # 1 was printed on a T-shirt, a space that is all too often
connected only with the images and messages of the commercial world.

"Tip for the top - Engaged" Time Out 3/95
Issue # 2 was published in the form of a large colour poster. Elements
of this were fly-posted around London.

"Well-wrought and funny." Esquire 2/96
Issue # 3 was published on cross-platform cd-rom featuring the work of
10 digital artists. This issue exists in a 3-D rendered public lavatory.

"Where next?" i-D 2/95
Issue # 4 is dedicated to Pop and Found art, published and packaged in a
supermarket tin.

"Provocative and engaging" Time Out 4/97
Issue # 5 is published on video and features the work of ten film-makers
and animators.

ENGAGED can be found in all good arts bookshops or ordered from the
ENGAGED address (#10/issue).
