20?s

As a counter measure to CK interviewing us (the MTAA) and posting it on
RHIZOME, we would like to send out 20 ill formed questions to y'all. So
think of an answer to some, all or just hit delete now. Send your answer
on to [email protected] and we will crunch it down into a composite
RHIZOME group interview and send it on back. So, have a seat, get
comfortable and we will hit record on the tape deck when you are ready .

1. How long have you been subscribed to RHIZOME?

2. Do you participate or lurk?

3. Whose post do you read?

4. Who do you delete?

5. Do you think self reflexivity or awareness, even in something that is
non human like a listservs, is possible?

6. Any Pets?

7. Where were you during the Charllotte crises?

8. Do you own any digital art?

9. If all art is regional, is there a region in the international thing
know as www? (Let us put it another way, is RHIZOME a part of a new York
art community?- a world wide digital art community?- a RHIZOME art
community? Do shared problems and events like the Charlotte crises
create a commonality between the members of RHIZOME? Is this commonality
of any substance?)

10. Do you find anyone on the list attractive? (please name names)

11. Why did you choose DIGEST and or RAW and or FRESH?

12. On average, how many times a day do you check your email?

13. What is physically next to your computer?

14. Recently a post was made to RHIZOME RAW asking for child
pronography, which lead me (mriver) to wonder "what the hell is that
shit doing in here?" which leads us to this second question that we will
ask you (RHIZOME)- As an open forum, what defines the line or fence
around this listservs - digital art, digital art discourse, club house,
the online experience, pop philosophy, whatever… ??

15. Favorite color?

16. What are some conceptual trends that you find among digital art
recently? i.e. mriver-i've been seeing a lot of work about
misunderstanding (intentional communication failure) around lately."

16. Are these ideas located in the work being digital or are they about
being an artist in the late 20th cen (Both? Neither?)

17. Do you find that the same 20 question are being asked all the time
about digital art and or art in general?

18. And speaking of the same old 20 questions -How can we save, collect,
show, look at, trade, conserve, store, promote, "museumify", etc.. etc..
digital art and where the hell is all my money?

19. Who is the coolest of the Art Digeratti? (This week we're voting for
GH because David Byrne was at his performance at Postmaster)

20. And finally, if you were on a pirate ship in a parallel universe,
would you find yourself a) rowing, b) beating the drum, c) or whipping
the crew?
