TEMPORARY LECTURER, Department of Visual Arts, UCSD

We anticipate openings for temporary Lecturer positions in art
history/criticism (Western and Non-western), photo history, film
history, studio art (painting, sculpture, drawing, and hybrid
practices), computing in the arts, digital editing, film, video,
photography, performance. Appointments will likely be part-time,
possibly full-time, from one quarter up to one year, with the
possibility of renewal. Positions available beginning the 2007/2008
academic year contingent upon funding. MFA or PhD preferred, but ABDs
considered.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and
scholarship and/or professional recognition. Salary commensurate with
qualifications and experience and based on published UC pay scales. Send
letter of application, curriculum vitae, names of three references (do
not send letters of recommendation and/or placement files), and evidence
of work in the field. This evidence may be in the form of slides, tapes,
publications and/or public lectures and should be accompanied by return
mailer and postage.
