I imagine a few hundred years ago they were pretty dead earnest about
it, and sure they were right. We're certainly sure now we are right
and laugh that a few hundred years ago they had such silly notions.
I imagine in a few hundred years from now though, they will still be
just as sure as always and look back at our "scientific hypotheses"
now as ludicrous.
Our "technology" is tomorrow's witch hunt.
