PGDip in New Media Publishing, De Montfort University, Leicester, UK

Applications are now being considered for the October 2006 entry to the new
1-year, full-time, PGDip in New Media Publishing at De Montfort University,
Leicester.

The course is designed to give students the skills and theoretical knowledge
to develop projects in the expanding and vibrant sector of creative New
Media, especially utilising the Internet.

As well as learning technical and theoretical skills relevant to publishing
using digital technology, students will develop their own New Media
projects.

Working in small teams, students will construct a project and receive
professional feedback on each step of its progression. Through this process
students will also learn significant project-management skills regarding the
lifecycle of New Media projects.

This course is one of the few in the country that focuses on this exciting
new area of publishing. It is unique in that it will take a student beyond
fundamental technical skills to understanding the complete lifecycle of a
project from a management perspective as well from that of a practitioner.

The course is taught by a team with a wealth of experience in creating and
managing professional New Media projects.
